Most card shop locators online are run by a brand or a play program, so they only list the stores enrolled in that program. Independent hobby shops, sports-card-only stores, and small local game stores get left out. If you've ever searched one and wondered why it showed two or three stores in a city you know has more, that's why.
LocalCardShopsNearMe is different. It's an independent card shop locator with 7,300+ verified shops across the US and Canada, and no program or partnership requirement. If a shop sells cards and can be verified through Google Maps, an owner submission, or a collector report, it's in here — sports cards, Pokémon, Magic, Yu-Gi-Oh, and everything in between.
Here's how it stacks up against the other ways people look for a card shop:

Not every card shop carries everything. Jump straight to the type of store you need:
Hobby stores carrying baseball, football, basketball, and hockey — sealed hobby boxes, singles, and graded slabs.
Stores with Pokémon singles, sealed product, and often a weekly league or tournament night.
Shops with Magic singles and sealed product, plus in-store play like Commander nights and prereleases.
Stores that stock Yu-Gi-Oh singles and boosters and run locals for competitive players.
Local game stores covering several TCGs at once — the place to find a table, a trade, or a tournament.
Beyond brick-and-mortar shops — upcoming card shows, collector expos, and dealer tables across North America.
Not all card shops are the same. Once you've found a few nearby, here's what separates a great one from an average one:
A good shop prices singles and slabs against recent sold listings, not old price guides or hopeful asking prices. If a price looks high, ask what it's based on — a good shop will tell you.
Shops with an established distributor account get new releases on release day and keep hobby boxes and booster displays in stock. Ask whether they take pre-orders for upcoming sets.
Many shops collect cards from customers and send them to PSA, BGS, SGC, or CGC as one group submission. That can save you shipping and paperwork — ask about turnaround and any service fee before you hand cards over.
If you're selling, a good shop explains how it arrives at an offer and will usually show you the comps. Get more than one offer on anything valuable.
